- In Helaman 6 we read about a group of Nephites who turn away from God and degenerate into terrible wickedness; they are carried away in their love of riches and fine things and they begin to make secret pacts with one another to support each other in all sorts of evil doing, including illegal evil doing.
- It occurred to me that perhaps one of the best ways to defend against that slippery slide away from God is through humble giving.
- a humble disciple of Christ will pay a full tithe on all income
- we cultivate humility as we generously donate additional means to the fast offering funds of church; these funds go toward helping the poor and needy locally and around the world. The greater the temptation to love and trust and set our hearts upon riches, the more aggressive we can be in giving more and more of our means to feed the poor.
This is my mobile, share-able Gospel study journal. I love to study the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and I believe that I can learn a lot more by hearing other people's insights. That's why I've made this a public blog. So please, read, and share your thoughts.
